KU ARI HK Professor * HK Research Professor Application  

 

1. Outline: Korea University has taken the leadership of establishing the very first university-oriented research institute focused in the studies of East Asia and Korea Research Foundation has chosen ARI as the year 2008 “Humanities Korea”. In addition to last year, ARI is looking for HK Professor as well as HK Research professor who have the potential and the skill to further improve the work.  

 

2. Invitation Field:  

Ÿ East Asia Economy – Among (Japan, China, Korea) 1 Person – HK Professor or HK research Professor 

Ÿ Among Japanese Politics, Japanese Econ-Politics, Japanese Sociology 1 Person – HK Professor or HK

Research Professor

3. Benefits  

Ÿ annual salary – 90% of KU Professors’, HK Research professor – 3000-33000000 won

Ÿ Incentive: Chosen among excellent HK research professor ₩ 3,000,000 Payment

4. Requirements  

Ÿ must have a Doctorate in the corresponding field

Ÿ must have no Disqualification in Private schools or in school’s professor employed position  

 Ÿ Sufficient experienced candidates who have the basic level of achievement when measured by Korea

Research Foundation and HK

 Ÿ Research experience in the field or fluent in the language preferred (in the study region)

 

 Ÿ 1 primary screening (document screening) - 2 Review (Discussion of Major) - The final announcement of successful applicants

 Ÿ Research institute and major Compatibility Examination

Ÿ Specialized discussion interviewers will only be individually notified to successful applications only

9. 1^st pool applicant announcement: Individual notice in 2009 July

Ÿ insufficient applications may not be registered and received documents will not be returned

Ÿ Submitted documents are used for employment decisions and personnel document; if the content goes

against the fact, ARI will deal with any disciplinary actions and other disadvantages even after the candidate is employed

Ÿ if the candidate does not meet the expectation of the institute, there may be no announcement for successful applicants based on the judging committee
