The ARI Communist Bloc Series are the results of its analysis of Korea and the Asian communist bloc and research on Korean unification issues. A thirty-volume research series including Communism in Korea: The Movement, Ideology and Politics of North Korea, and Korean Unification and the International Situation, and a fifteen-volume reference series including North Korean Studies Sourcebook have been published.
Social development is a concept that corresponds to the realization of social justice and expansion of welfare, which are the ultimate goals of economic development and also necessary elements for continuous development. In recognition of this, ARI conducted research on problems in Korean society and published thirty-two volumes of the “Korean Social Development Studies Series.”
