2012 ARI Internship
ARI requests the applications for internship from undergraduate students.
The internship will offer valuable opportunities for undergraduate students to experience the relationship between classroom teachings and research activities,
the networking of research institutes at home and abroad, and the importance of
research partnership. All undergraduate students of Korea University are eligible for
application.
What is ARI? Applicants should be undergraduate students (fluent Chinese, English or
Japanese speakers preferred) Working hours: 8 hours a week Internship will be from August 1 to January 31, 2013
ARI, founded in 1957 as the first university-affiliated research center, has
been leading Northeast Asian Studies. For the last five decades, ARI has
achieved research excellence by producing the Diplomatic Documents of the
Late Joseon Dynasty, the Communist Bloc Studies Series, the Chinese Research
Series, the Korea-Japan Joint Research Series, and the Democracy Series. It has published
more than 200 research series, document series, and books. The Journal of Asiatic Studies of ARI is one of
the oldest and most prestigious peer-reviewed journals in Korea. Since
November 2008, ARI has been selected as one of hub institutes in Northeast Asia
area studies with an agenda, entitled “Northeast Asia’s Transnational Space.”
For 10 years, ARI will implement the Humanities Korea (HK) Project supported by
the National Research Foundation. Accommodated in its own
building behind the main library, ARI has more than 30 research rooms, its own
library, many seminar rooms and conference rooms.
Application Period: from June 27 to July 17

ARI Room #105.
Selected applicants will be contacted individually for interview.
