The Asiatic Research Institute is recruiting interns among undergraduate or graduate students with an active interest in East Asia-relatedresearch covering politics, economics, society, history, and culture.
About the ARI
Founded in 1957, the ARI is the first university-affiliated research center and has been leading in research on the East Asian region, having published series of research and data in over 200 books. In 2008, the National Research Foundationof Korea selected the institute as a government-sponsored Humanities Korea (HK) Center for Northeast Asian Studies, which has for 10 years been ambitiously conducting its research on ‘Northeast Asia’s Transnational Space’. The ARI is located behind the Korea University library in its own building housing more than 30 rooms including research rooms, library, seminar rooms, and conference rooms.
1. Job Details and Requirements
A. Classification: Intern

C. Qualifications: Undergraduate/graduate student (students from other schools are welcome)
2. Responsibilities and Conditions
A. Assisting in conferences, organizing data, administrative duties
B. English translation, proofreading
C. Work period: 4-6 weeks (can be negotiated)
D. Hours: 8 hours or less weekly
E. Meal fee provided
F. Internship certificate issued
3. Screening Process
A. Screening
§ First round: application screening
§ Second round: interview (only applicants who pass the first round)
*Applicants who pass the first round will be individually notified
