[CAMPUS Asia] 2012 Summer School

Globalization, Regional Governance, and Sustainable Development in Asia: An Interdisciplinary Approach

Campus Asia-EAUI Program offered the 2012 Summer School at Waseda University, Tokyo, from July 30 to August 3. The summer school was jointly organized by 5 universities—Korea University (Korea), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Peking University (China), Thammasat University (Thailand) and Waseda University (Japan). A group of professors from the disciplines of Economics, Politics, International Relations and Humanities and Social Sciences gave lectures under the theme of “Globalization, Regional Governance, and Sustainable Development in Asia: An Interdisciplinary Approach.” Following the lectures, students gave presentations and held active discussions based on the lectures.

The Korean delegation includes three professors from Korea University (Prof. Lee Yong Wook, Prof. Hwang Jungmee, Prof. Son Key-young) and six graduate students (Kang Hyunmin, Kim Heeyun, Lee Jeongwon, Lee Yoonjung, Park Il Joo and Roh Seung Hwan). Prof. Son gave a lecture on "Globalization and Regional Governance" and held a discussion with students from the five East Asian universities.
