Professor K. de Ceuster of Leiden University in Netherlands visited Asiatic Research Institute on May 18th, 2011. Professor Ceuster and Director Nae Young Lee of Asiatic Research Institute exchanged their views over diverse subjects, including: 1) Korea's economic development and democratization; 2) changes in Korean people's awareness of their identity; 3) changes in the Korean attitude toward foreign countries; 4) changes in the relationship between the chaebol-centered social sector and Korea's political authorities. Professor Ceuster and Director Lee further discussed signing of MOU between Leiden University's Modern East Asia Research Center and Asiatic Research Institute.
