Position Available for an Editorial Assistant for East Asian Community Review
Since its establishment in 1957, the Asiatic Research Institute (ARI) has played a leading role in East Asian studies as the first university-affiliated research institute in Korea. In 2008, the ARI was selected as one of the recipient institutes of the government-sponsored Humanities Korea (HK) Project for regional studies. The ARI has steadfastly pursued the goal of undertaking cutting-edge research in East Asian studies as one of the world-class research institutes. As a part of its efforts, the ARI plans to launch a peer-reviewed journal, titled East Asian Community Review (EACR), in 2018. The ARI is looking for an editorial assistant for the new journal. All nationalities are welcome to apply, but those who have advanced Korean and English language skills as registered Master’s or PhD students of Korea University are preferred.
- Assist the Editors of the East Asian Community Review
- Must be legally authorized to work in Korea
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Must have a native English proficiency level
- High-level Korean proficiency required (Reading & Writing)
- Six-month contract (renewable)
- Working hours: flexible (Employment starts on October 1, 2017)
- Salary: subject to experience
