[Domestic Symposium] The Wanpaoshan Incident and Sino-Korean Relations (Symposium in Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Wanpaoshan Incident)

Symposium in June 2011 – Symposium in Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Wanpaoshan Incident

The ARI Center for East Asian Comparative History hosted a symposium titled “The Wanpaoshan Incident and Sino-Korean Relations” in Seminar Room 1 on the 7th floor of the Daewoo Foundation Building near Seoul Station on June 17th, 2011. Recently, scholars have proposed studying the history of Sino-Korean relations from the East Asian perspective while regretting the negative effects of conventional historical research focused on national history and Eurocentric world history. This is a prerequisite for resolving historical conflicts among East Asian nations and laying the foundation for peace and prosperity through future-oriented history education. Bearing this in mind, scholars have released researches that analyze the history of Sino-Korean relations from new perspectives.
